You know how they talk about the freshman 15? Well, the same thing applies when you move to a new location. Since mid-April, I've put on 30 lbs. And I was already 20 lbs overweight. It's absolutely my own fault. I have NOTHING standing in the way of me and losing weight...especially not anymore. I've got to get this back under control, so here begins my journey. Most of my friends are having or have recently had babies, so they post their 9 months journey on facebook. Well, I'm thinking about doing the same thing, except on this seculded corner of the Internet and the goal is to get smaller and smaller instead of bigger and bigger. So, here begins my yet another journey to weight loss. I have a plan. I just need to stick to the plan. I want to lose 50 lbs in 9 months, which, unfortunately means I finish this thing right after Thanksgiving, but right before Christmas. Maybe by then, I'll have established some new habits.
But back to Yoda. He was right. With something like weight loss, you either committ to it or you don't. So, as I go through this journey, I'm going to chronicle the things I've done well ("do") and the things that I need to improve ("do not").
Stats:
Weight: 201.6 (how the heck did that happen :( )
Waist: 39.75
Do:
- Had only my smoothie for breakfast
- Didn't eat any of the snacks I brought today
- Went to the gym even though I was very tired
- Can still do enough sit-ups to pass the AF Fitness test
- Did not get soda for lunch today
Do Not:
- Had Subway for lunch which included the 12 in meatball sub, chips and a cookie
- Only spent 5 minutes on the treadmill (probably because of lunch)
- Had Golden Grahms for dinner instead of eggs (plus side: the box is finished)
Tomorrow, I will do better.
